Grupo FATO Curitiba Grupo FATO Brazilian fusion, World jazz, Improvisation, Pop ExperimentalCuritiba, Brazil(English)FATO is an innovative quintet with an eclectic sonority, recognized by critics in Brazil and abroad through 7 albums, DVD, music book and videos. A strong characteristic of the group is the way they mix all sorts of musical elements from throughout Brazil in arrangements influenced by jazz, pop, MPB, free improvisation and more. Percussion plays a prominent role, especially the wooden clogs worn by the musicians who tap out elaborate syncopated rhythms inspired in the "fandango caiçara"(*). The sound of the clogs is a hallmark of Fato's music, either used on feet or transformed into Tamancalha (instrument made with clogs). Their album “Próximo” featured guest appearances of major Brazilian artists such as Lenine and was the 28th among the 100 Best of Brazilian Music in 2014 (embrulhador.com).(*) tradition from the Brazilian southern coast(Português)O Grupo FATO é um quinteto que trabalha criativ The Sit Down with Russ Latino MPB Think Radio The Sit Down with Russ Latino is where complex issues meet real conversations.
