Progressive Muscle Meditation

from The OM Collective: Find Your Calm

Relax and connect with the body with a progressive muscle meditation   A technique called progressive muscle relaxation is a series of exercises in which you tense your muscles as you breathe in and relax them as you breathe out.   Deep muscle relaxation in a natural therapeutic tool that puts a halt on the body’s anxiety response and release of stress hormones, which is why this technique can help us feel calm almost immediately and is highly recommended if you have trouble sleeping.   In today’s practice each muscle should be tensed, but not to the point of strain. If you have any injuries or pain, you can skip the affected areas.   Written and spoken by Claire Charters   Join me on a yoga retreat at https://theomcollective.org   Or alternatively treat yourself to some of my hand-made, plant-based, natural home and body products over at https://botanicaltrader.com   The OM Collective Copyright 2020 All rights reserved.
