Uruguay electrified the global debate concerning the Drug War this week, as its Chamber of Deputies approved a law that would make the country the first in the world to completely legalize the use and distribution of the drug. This week, Latin Pulse concentrates on the progressive trends in Uruguay. Beyond liberalizing marijuana laws, the discussion also covers the debates over abortion and same sex marriage in Uruguay.
