Project Blue Book

The Air Force started out looking into flying disc sightings with Project Sign. In 1948 this was just about all the government was willing to do if you saw something that looked odd. In 1949 Project Sign was done away with and Project Grudge came into being. The standard operating thought was Flying Discs didn’t exists and any reports were by uneducated or delusional people. A bunch of Colonels and Generals in the Air Force began to wonder why the people running Project Grudge weren’t actually doing anything. The Colonels and Generals were concerned the flying discs might pose a threat to the United States. They began to put pressure on Washington saying it was time to look into these sightings and find out who or what they were. Project Blue Book was not interested in investigating UFO reports.
