Prolonged aggravation

Prolonged aggravation Seems a few minutes become days, our utopia’s  been lost in a haze Can’t see through the fog, headaches from the howling of the dog Stranded in the dark run out of fuel, my Iphone is nearly dead, how cruel Bang my fist in anger on the dash, thinkin how sweet life could be with a little cash Sometimes it seems life can be such a tease Go from happy to hell as quick as a sneeze Can’t see wonderland through your looking glass there’s too much condensation But most of all darling it seems you're suffering from a case of prolonged aggravation Sometimes you blink and seem to lose a day, remember when it never seemed that way Looking forward was such a lovely thought, sharing the connection that you perpetually sought Spinning in excuses and fears coated with regret, despite telling yourself you deserve better, you forget Sometimes it seems life can  be such a tease Go from happy to hell as quick as a sneeze Can’t see wonderland through your looking glass there’s too much condensation But most of all darling it seems you're suffering from a case of prolonged aggravation Run away from the cycle that’s always stuck on spin, open your mind to the love that’s ready to begin Be the engine that runs the train down your own tracks, drive across that mirror never mind the cracks Let’s roll away from the weight of the pain, ride in style see the country from our love train The journey of a lifetime right there in our mind, the two of us locked in a gaze life’s greatest find Sometimes it seems life can  be such a tease Go from happy to hell as quick as a sneeze Can’t see wonderland through your looking glass there’s too much condensation But most of all darling it seems you're suffering from a case of prolonged aggravation Let’s bring it to a close, all steady as she goes, steam blows releasing condensation Drifting off into the night sky, dissipating into thin air along with all our aggravation Tim Windisch 11/27/2023
