Promise of the Holy Spirit

In “The Promise of the Holy Spirit,” Pastor Dave Gustavsen reminds us that Jesus prepared His disciples for His departure by promising they would not be left alone. Through the Holy Spirit, God comes alongside believers with His presence, gives them power to obey Jesus and continue His mission, and brings peace that endures even in hardship. We often try to fill the emptiness in our hearts with things that never truly satisfy, but only God's Spirit can meet our deepest need. Because of the Holy Spirit, followers of Jesus can live with courage, purpose, and the assurance that they are never alone.
