Proofreading, editing and escaping into the great outdoors with Heather Paluch

from Writing with Purpose – Inspiring Readers, Writers, and Nature Lovers · host Anna Woolliscroft

Welcome to another engaging episode of Writing with Purpose. Today, on episode 7, I chatted with Heather Paluch, owner of Bowland Editorial. Heather's journey will take us through the world of proofreading, editing, language and the refreshing escape to the great outdoors.   Heather offers a hub of literary craftsmanship, including proofreading, copyediting and transcription services, perfectly aligning with her business slogan, ‘Every word counts’. Heather's focus primarily revolves around assisting non-fiction authors and content creators. She uses her expertise in various specialised fields, including defence, security, technology, technical writing, sport, fitness and outdoor adventure.   In today’s episode, we discuss:   Heather’s life motto: ‘Think outside. No box required.’ Childhood memories of writing and outdoor escapades. Running, walking and collecting metaphors of life from outside to stop mundane thinking. What the colour green means.   Heather's mission is twofold: to empower individuals to express themselves through the written word and to encourage people to embrace the beauty of the outdoors. She is a passionate advocate for family, friends, her canine companions, and a host of other interests, from travelling and learning languages to running, hiking and keeping fit.   Heather's commitment to making a positive impact extends to her collaboration with Carma, a company dedicated to planting trees in the UK, focusing on supporting UK veterans with PTSD. Given her military background, Heather wholeheartedly supports Carma's noble cause.   Connect with Heather to continue the conversation and invest in her services.   Website Instagram Facebook LinkedIn   _ _ _   A new episode is released every Saturday at 8 am.
