Propaganda - Vol. 44

from The Pugnacious Pilgrim Podcast

Hello pilgrims and welcome back to the podcast. Jason had the privilege of sitting in the presence of greatness, as Mike “Kingpin” Rogers co-hosted the show the night after bowling a 198. In today’s episode, Mike and Jason tackled the topic of Propaganda: Media, Message, and manipulation. We did our best to expose how propaganda works and how it seeks to control how people think and interact with one another, regardless of the truth. One example we talked about was how the miracle drug, Ivermectin, has been politicized and mislabeled in order to render its use in treating COVID-19 dangerous and illogical; even as it continues to save lives. Finally, we ended our show discussing how propaganda and misinformation are the oldest trick in the book; with roots in Genesis 3 and the fall of humanity, and how Christians must ensure we are not only dealing in truth…but doing our best to keep the Gospel at the forefront of all we do.
