I met William Commanda (Algonquin) on 11 April 1997, when I was working in Aboriginal Justice for the federal government in Canada. When I realized how important his work was, I took early retirement (2002) to support his efforts probono; his work became mine, and ours: the passion, commitment and creativity of so many have animated the spirit of the Circle of All Nations.
