However, he cautions that just because we have an experience doesn't necessarily mean it is true, as experiences do not validate truth. He highlights the importance of achieving prophetic clarity and teaches that revelation must be interpreted correctly before it can be applied; therefore, the sequence is revelation, interpretation, and application. Joseph also stresses the necessity of having spiritual mentors, or "fathers in faith," to become a true prophet of God, warning against going beyond what is written in scripture. He clarifies that the purpose of prophetic ministry is to edify and equip the body of Christ, highlighting the distinction between the gift of prophecy and the office of the prophet. While every believer can receive the gift of prophecy, the office of the prophet carries the responsibility of equipping and nurturing the body of Christ.
