Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. - Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) The tongue is powerful, because it is the nozzle, the barrel through which words are released into the world and the minds of humans. This then means that, every word spoken, releases energies that bring death or life. If this is so, then every word heard releases either death or life into the mind of the listener but not before it affects the one speaking. Or put differently - words spoken, releases energy to either kill or create visions, dreams, aspirations, goals, sickness, or what have you. Take a moment to think about the paragraph above.
