Prophets and People

Balaam is listed in the Hebrew bible as a non Jewish person who was in contact with the Lord G-d of Israel. Balaam was not a part of Israel and died as a result of his failure to choose wisely, even though he had correctly transmitted the messages concerning Israel and G-ds blessing.
