Proposal to Eleven-Year-Old Sima

In Afghanistan, especially under the Taliban rule, with their bans, changes in laws, and the worsening economic crisis, more and more families are forcing their young daughters into early marriage to pay off their debts or put food on the table. Children who should be going to school and learning, instead start living with men who, from a age perspective, are like their fathers or sometimes like their grandfathers. The reason for this injustice is the patriarchal society and poverty.
