Proposed city charter amendments hope to increase transparency

This week On The Record with Randy Beamer, we talk with District 6 Council Rep Melissa Cabello Havrda about her proposed charter amendments that she says would increase transparency and accountability for city-owned utilities SAWS and CPS. Then, COVID has resurfaced in a big way.  Dr. Jason Bowling, Infectious Disease Specialist with UT Health San Antonio, discusses what we’re seeing in the number of cases, and when the new COVID vaccine will be coming out. Next, plastic pollution is a big problem for Texas waterways.  Alan Montemayor of the Alamo Sierra Club explains why the problem is growing, what we can do about it, and why the petroleum industry in Texas is part of the problem.
