La Puglia è tra le prime regioni in Italia per numero di startup innovative, così come la città metropolitana di Bari è ai primi posti nella classifica nazionale per quelle tecnologiche. Ci sono startup nate in Puglia che in meno di dieci anni sono diventate aziende leader nel mercato di riferimento, una sorta di “scalup”: è il caso di Roboze, nata nella cameretta di un 17enne ed oggi una delle aziende più innovative d’Italia.Non è un caso anche che la Puglia ospiti anche il primo hackaton italiano, la maratona digitale DigithOn, fondata dal senatore Francesco Boccia. La presenza di tante startup sta anche accelerando i processi di digitalizzazione delle aziende tradizionali e questo ha determinato un ottimo piazzamento della regione quanto all’Indice Desi (Digital economy and society index) elaborato dal Politecnico di Milano: la Puglia è la prima regione al Sud con 45,9 punti, appena sotto la media italiana di 50. In tanti hanno contribuito a questo fenomeno, ma il merito va senza dubbio innanzitutto al talento dei giovani pugliesi, spesso di ritorno da esperienze nel nord Italia o all’estero.Quanto stiamo valorizzando questo tesoro? Quanto la Puglia contribuisce a far sì che queste startup abbiano la possibilità di affermarsi e diventare aziende solide e stabili? Quanto è destinato a crescere questo fenomeno?
