TO THE EDITOR: As a downtown business owner in Pipestone, Minn., I support the concerns raised about paving CSAH 25. Main street businesses depend on people traveling through Pipestone. A paved road that could easily function as a bypass risks sending traffic around our town instead of into it. That is the last thing our small businesses need. Visitors often discover our shops, restaurants, and historic downtown simply because they pass through. When traffic disappears, so do opportunities for local businesses to grow and thrive.
