Protecting The Heritage:The Mambila Plateau

from The Bow · host Dan Onyi Eboh

Goodday all and welcome to todays early programming at THE BOW. I interview a man at Mambilla Plateau ,Taraba State as I investigate the UN SDGs goal 11(precisely on strengthened efforts in protecting cultural & natural heritage) .The governor and one of his sons declined to speak to me or my agent after we made several attempts(in a space of a month) to get them to talk with us. Fact check I carried out with Prof Dan Eboh(who used to go to Mambilla Plateau on academic pilgrimage) shows that in the early 1980s,Mambilla Plateau and Obudu Mountain Resort (then called Obudu Cattle Ranch) were the best reserved grazing locations in Nigeria. In this interview,Mr Bami explains that him and several individuals (locals) are doing several things to protect the natural and cultural heritage of the plateau.Pls listen to The Bow TB by visiting : anchor.fm/dan-onyi-eboh
