Proud Waterford Mother Celebrates Son’s Historic Everest Summit!

IT'S a proud day for the Sweeney and Harris families in Dunmore East - and a proud day for Waterford too! Adam Sweeney (22) last night became the youngest Irish person ever to reach the summit of Mount Everest! It's a dream come through for the young Dunmore man who has been a long-time preparing for the the biggest adventure of his young life. This morning (Wednesday) just hours after the good news filtered through (that Adam and two team-mates had reached the summit) we caught up with Adam's proud mum, Karen Sweeney.
