We use the word love to describe so many thoughts and emotions. We say we love certain foods, love the home team, love our friends, and love our pets. Then, there are times love results in pain. Someone said they loved us, but turned around and scarred us. With all of these expressions and experiences, the concept of love can be very confusing. What then can we say is love? In 1 John 3:11-16, John takes the teachings and actions of Jesus and makes it abundantly clear to us...and love is not what we think.
