Proverbs looks like a book of fridge-magnet advice — work hard, watch your mouth, save your money.But there's a phrase in verse 3 that gives the game away. "Right and just and fair" isn't self-help vocabulary. It's government vocabulary — the language of Deuteronomy 17's rules for kings.This is a training manual for a throne, written by a king for his son.
