Proverbs 19 & Ecclesiastes 9

Wisdom Daily Meditation brings us to Proverbs 19 and Ecclesiastes 9, where Scripture draws our attention to wise living, the limits of human control, and the importance of faithfully stewarding the life God has given. Proverbs speaks to integrity, humility, discernment, diligence, and receiving instruction. Ecclesiastes reminds us that life is unpredictable, that outcomes are not always within our control, and that death ultimately comes to everyone. Yet within that uncertainty, Scripture points us toward receiving the present life as a gift and faithfully engaging the work, relationships, and responsibilities God has placed before us. Together, these chapters create a tension between what we can influence and what we cannot control. We may not know what tomorrow will bring, but we can pay attention to how we live today—with wisdom, integrity, diligence, humility, and gratitude for what God has entrusted to us.
