Proverbs 2:12-15, "Guard Against Deceptive Teaching"

Evil always distorts what is good. Proverbs reminds us that God’s wisdom not only shapes character but also shields us from those who twist truth for their own gain. Deceptive voices entice us away from the path of life, masking perversion as virtue and mocking God’s ways as narrow or outdated.Through wisdom, the young son is safeguarded against corrupt teaching and those who hate what is good, beautiful, and true. Deceivers promise freedom but only perpetuate cycles of destruction and dependency, dragging others into their crooked ways. God’s truth, by contrast, enlightens, strengthens, and sustains those who walk in it.The call is clear: we must treasure God’s wisdom, allowing it to shape our vision of life so that we are not swayed by lies. In a world filled with distorted voices, it is God’s Word that keeps our steps straight and preserves us for life in Him.
