We want to hear from you connect with us at glm.cls.co/rncn In this wisdom moment found in Proverbs 22:7, Greg shares that one of the big worldwide protests today called Occupy Wall Street, it speaks, in a fragmented, unorganized way, for what it claims is the “99%”, who allegedly say that they are being ruled over by the 1%, the ones that have the wealth. They are allegedly saying that this can be resolved by taking from the 1% and giving it to the 99%. The 1%, the wealthy, are saying get wealth for yourself if you’d like to rule, but don’t take our wealth so you can rule. God says, the rich rule over the poor. What does this mean to us, the individual? It means if we’d like to be among the leaders, that we need to do our business well, manage our finances as God instructs us and He will place us in places of leadership. All the while the 99% are protesting more and more about how the 1%, the wealthy, rule over the 99%, they continue to borrow money they can’t repay, followed by being shocked that they are getting more and more bound to the leadership of the 1%. GOD SAYS, “The borrower is servant of the lender” The following statistics illustrate this point: – The average credit card debt per household: $15,956. -There 609.8 million credit cards held by U.S. consumers according to “(The Survey of Consumer Payment Choice,” Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, January 2010). – Average number of credit cards held by cardholders: 3.5, as of yearend 2008 (Source: “The Survey of Consumer Payment Choice,” Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, January 2010) We can protest, we can march in the streets, we can shout from the roof tops how unjust we feel we’re being treated, but if we keep borrowing more and more money we’ll be bound more and more to the ones we borrow it from including governments! God’s Words never changes. If we change, believe and operate under God’s Word, and His Wisdom, then and only then can we expect to be free.
