Providence College Basketball Coach Fired After 3 Years

Providence College mens basketball coach Kim Englishs tenure appears to be ending, following a three-year stint marked by mixed results. Despite a promising start, Englishs Friars struggled to maintain consistency, with a record of forty-eight and fifty-two overall and no NCAA Tournament appearances. Englishs departure comes after a quarterfinal loss to St. Johns in the Big East Tournament, where the team faced challenges in rebounds and bench points. Despite the setbacks, English received praise from players, peers, and even St. Johns Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino for his communication and hard-working teams. As Providence College searches for its next coach, English, a former NBA second-round pick, looks forward to new coaching opportunities.
