Providence Parts Ways with Coach Kim English

Providence University parted ways with mens basketball head coach Kim English after three seasons, following a loss in the Big East Tournament. Englishs record stood at 48-52, with a six-year contract extension worth $1.93 million per year. The school faces a hefty buyout, potentially over $8 million. English is the fourth coach since the 1950s to leave with a below .500 record. Providence plans to launch a national search for a new coach to rebuild momentum in the competitive Big East.
