Een brede coalitie van provincies, gemeenten en bedrijven slaat alarm over de plannen van minister Vincent Karremans (Infrastructuur en Waterstaat). Karremans zet nieuwe wegen- en spoorprojecten grotendeels in de ijskast om het miljardentekort in de begroting tegen te gaan. Volgens Harry van der Maas, gedeputeerde voor de provincie Zeeland, is het belangrijk dat er meer ministeries worden betrokken bij de plannen voor infrastructuur.
