PRUDENCE IN UKRAINIAN FOLKLORE

A popular science essay on prudence in Ukrainian folklore. Prudence is one of the core ethno-mental traits of Ukrainians. It reveals itself in measured thinking, caution in action, and the ability to think strategically when needed. This quality took shape over centuries of difficult history — in times that demanded adaptability, the avoidance of conflict with occupiers and neighbors, and the ability to make vital decisions grounded in both personal and collective experience, as well as practical wisdom.
