Ps Alan Lamb - "Praying In Jesus Name"

The Bible teaches us that Jesus has the name that is above every other name. It is in that name he taught his disciples to pray. The expression "in Jesus' name" speaks of relationship and authority. Praying "in Jesus' name" is not a "mantra" or an "add on" to our prayers. It is an expression of our relationship with God the Father and the authority over the powers of darkness we have been given through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. We are no longer coming to God as beggars hoping for some crumbs from his table. We are now beloved children coming to our Father who we know will meet our needs.
