PSA: A citizens call to action!

S2 Ep 31 PSA: A citizens call to action!  Is a deceleration for ALL city of Norfolk residents, to come together and get involved in their communities! If you’ve been following me or “This Is For My Ladies” Podcast (TIFML), you know that back in September, I launched a petition to install a traffic light at the intersection of Princess Anne Road and Majestic Avenue, after 12 year old Gregory Bateman Jr. was hit and killed while trying to cross the road at the crosswalk, after leaving Jordan Newby Anchor Branch Library at Broad Creek. We are only six days away from the deadline to submit the Princess Anne Road Study survey. The survey launched on January 31, 2019, after city council members came to an agreement on November 20, 2018 at Norfolk’s City Council meeting to put up a light after I attended several city hall meetings, pushing for the installation of the traffic light.  The survey can be completed online at: Norfolk.gov/pasurvey the deadline is 11:59pm on March 11, 2019. This podcast is a call to action!  Your efforts can go beyond this survey, I’m challenging citizens to get active in their neighborhoods, join committees, civic leagues, PTA committees, school board committees, attend city hall meetings and exercise your power, presence and voice to speak up and out about the changes that you’d like to see within your neighborhoods and schools, especially city of Norfolk, particularly in 3rd Ward of Norfolk.
