Over and over again we see "they did what was right in their own eyes". Sin is filling up God's wrath. How do we treat the poor, widows, fatherless, and those under our authority? God's first response to the wickedness of men is grace and mercy. He gives them an opportunity to repent. God is patient, but there is an end to His patience. While we should strive to be an oasis of righteousness in a desert of evil, we do not ignore the wickedness around us. May we be a lighthouse in the midst of a stormy sea. Their facade is we're here to help you, but really they want to get rid of you. Cry out to God of what they are doing. God is a responsive God. He responds to our cry. Let nations know they are but men. Pray to God to teach them that they are just men and that He is God. God will exercise and defend those who are oppressed.
