These psalms of "For the End" build on each other. Is God going to resolve the problem of evil brought upon us by men? Vs 1: Even if we compare who we consider "godly" today would not measure up to the criteria of a godly man/woman 150 yrs ago. Vs 4: Your tongue reveals what is in your heart. Today's society says whatever they want is true: gender, ethnicity, etc. Our society produces addictive, worthless short reels that contribute nothing to our lives. Vs 5: God listens to the oppression of the poor and sighing of the needy and is moved to action. We should be separating ourselves from ungodliness. God wants to life up/exalt the godly. The Lord is exalted above all things and He offers it to us so He is our hope. Vs 8: The evil gets deeper and deeper in a meaningless circle. Being a little bit better than the world is not being godly.
