Psalm 131: Hearts Quietly Lifted to the LORD

Psalm 131 finds its home in the psalms of ascent as a short text that takes a long time to learn. David refuses to lift his heart or eyes in pride above the LORD, recognizing that those good things which the LORD has given in His Word are a refuge for him. In God’s Word, David and all Christians have a quiet place of refuge and nourishment. In the LORD, Christians have a hope that does not disappoint, now or forever.  Rev.
