Psalm 57: Strength to Stand Steadfast

Psalm 57 (New Century Version)Andrew and Edwin get a bit nerdy in today's conversation, noticing a specific sentence structure repeated between vs. 1 and vs. 7. (Don't go to sleep, this is cool.) They recognize a call and response. That is, they see David call out in prayer for mercy and God respond by making him strong and steadfast. Certainly, God promises deliverance. However, while we wait for that coming deliverance we really need strength to stand steadfast in the face of the enemies. God responds.
