It instructs to give audible (not silent) prayer and praise. Hebrews 5:6-11. God heard Jesus’ vehement cries, tears, and godly fear –yet Jesus was not saved from death. God is as personal, loving, and great God. Verses 7-9, asks, Is the Lord still with me? Verses 10-12 give the solution of remembering and mediating on what God has done for you. As I remember who God is and what He has done, I begin to see a change in me. Why does verse 15 select Jacob and Joseph specifically? Jacob and Joseph both said on their deathbed to not bury them in Egypt but rather in the Promised Land because the future promise was beyond their lifespan. When Moses and the Israelites flee pharaoh, they make sure to take Joseph’s bones with them..
