Psalm 78: Warn the Next Generation; The Cost of Disregarding the Bible

Psalm 78. The narrative of Israel coming out of Egypt to wander in the wilderness. Imagine being born as a slave for 18-19 years in Egypt, then a few years crossing the Red Sea, staying at Mount Sinai, and then wandering in the wilderness for 40 years eating the same manna every day and watching your family die. We claim that we wish we lived during God’s wondrous works, but it was often in His anger that he showed His power and often the people who saw his works were not faithful. We do not need to learn something new every Sunday, but we need to review the old stories that we take for granted and disregard. New material is often false teachers/error. Christian parents teach their children the Bible stories and the children grow to despise it and then the grandchildren have never heard the Bible stories. In one generation the knowledge is lost. Teach your children who God is, what He has done, and the cost if they despise the truth.
