After disressing events they are delivered from, the writer usually write songs/psalms. This psalm was written in the wine presses which would be a time of celebration. We should not applaud ourselves for the things God has done. God ssaid He would silence them with the mouth of baves and infants. Matthew 21:6-16. Jesus rides in on a donkey. Children persisted to praise Hosana! Why should you realize your dependence is on God? Because everything you have comes from Him. God created great heavens, moon, sun, stars, yet God gave man dominion and attention. What is man that God is mindful of him? Why is man worshipping sun, moon, rocks, when God made man greater? We do not need to look further than man to see the pinnicle of God's creation. Look at how much God invested in us. With capacity comes responsibility. A responsibility inherited from God which He can take away if we abuse it. We are the greatest of God's creation and we should bring Him glory. O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! What are you going to do with the glory and crowns He has given you? Will you cast your glory and crown at His feet/throne?
