Psalm 80: Enter God’s House With Joy

Psalm 80:18-81:3. Verse 18, revive us or bring us back to life. Verse 19, restore us. Even if you had a bad day or week, you should still be able to worship the Lord when you remember what He has done for you. You shall never enter the Lord’s house grumpy, grieving, or fasting, but rather with singing, rejoicing, brightest countenance, clean grooming, and finest clothes. The temple had the best musicians (timbrel, harp, lute, trumpet). Perhaps on Saturday nights, we need to write a list of what the Lord has saved us from and done in our lives this week to produce joy when entering the Lord’s house. There were solemn feast days at the month’s end with a new moon (bright full moon).
