The happy and those who indulge themselves in, ultimately, unsatisfying things.What are our influences in life? Do they drive us to Jesus or do they stave our appetites for godliness and growing closer to God?What do we delight in? Is it the vain fulfilling of superficial desires or is it in knowing God; through His word and through Jesus' drawing us close?Psalms 1 appropriately deals with these human concerns and sets the mood for the rest of the Psalms.
