Psalms Chapters 80-87

In this episode, we read Psalms 80–87, a rich collection of prayers and songs that highlight themes of restoration, praise, and God’s sovereign presence among His people. Psalm 80 cries out for God to revive and restore His people like a once-flourishing vineyard. Psalm 81 recalls God’s deliverance and urges Israel to return to faithful obedience. Psalm 82 confronts injustice and calls for God to judge the earth with righteousness. Psalm 83 pleads for God’s protection against hostile nations. Psalm 84 celebrates the joy of dwelling in God’s presence, declaring that a single day in His courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. Psalm 85 offers a prayer for renewal, blending remembrance of God’s past mercy with hope for future peace. Psalm 86 is a personal plea for God’s guidance and grace, and Psalm 87 proclaims God’s love for Zion and the blessedness of those who belong to Him. Join us as we reflect on these psalms of longing, worship, and steadfast trust in the Lord.
