Psalms for the Summer, Week 2

St. Athanasius stated that "[The psalms] become like a mirror to the person singing them, so that he might perceive himself and the emotions of his soul."  Psalm 2 reveals our tendencies to fight God and His ways, resisting His way because of our desire to do it OUR way. It promised a future Messiah, Jesus, but helps illuminate the feelings we still have as we anticipate God's Kingdom.
