Psychotically Eclectic Author Brad Schreiber

In this freewheeling episode much ground is covered. Brad as an author and tour guide though the madness of the 60s and 70s had a chat with me about Charles Manson and crew in addition to Donald DeFreeze of the Symbionese Liberation Army - famous for kidnapping Patty Hearst and perishing in a giant shootout in Los Angeles. We then talk about the revolutionaries covered in his latest book "Music is Power: Popular Songs, Social Justice, and the Will to Change." This interview is pop-culture catnip and I had a blast chatting. Brad Schreiber is a multi-faceted, award-winning talent who has written several books and developed projects for television, film, radio, and the stage. His works and accolades include the following: Books: "REVOLUTION'S END, secret history of the SLA," awards from Intl. Book Awards and Independent Publisher Book Awards and "BECOMING JIMI HENDRIX," selected for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Library. TV: Creator, "NORTH MISSION ROAD," based on Brad's history of LA Coroner, DEATH IN PARADISE. Film: JUNGLE SHUFFLE, animated feature with voices of Rob Schneider and Alicia Silverstone. Radio: NPR adaptations of Ray Bradbury's THE ONE WHO WAITS, Philip K. Dick's SALES PITCH. Theatre: Productions in LA, NY, Dallas, SF. Edward Albee Foundation.
