Rabbi Gary begins a study through the book of Zechariah. This is the most Messianic book of all the writings of the Hebrew Scriptures. For this reason, the theme of the book of Zechariah is the comfort and glory of Israel. It focuses attention on the restoration of Israel and the redemption of the Jewish people and the world, through the messianic King, the Messiah of Israel.In the opening verses of Zechariah 1:1-6, we learn that: 1. God judges sin (vs.2); 2. God desires repentance (vs.3); 3. Past judgments are a warning to repent (vs.4-5); 4.
