PTSD and Veterans and their Service Dogs

from Off The Chain · host Yvonne Mason Sewell

Christina McCormick Franco is the loving wife of a veteran with PTSD- for years she has lived in fear that when she left the house that upon her return her husband would be deceased by self inflicted wounds. Their service Dog has saved his life and their marriage. At an author event this lovely family was insulted by an author. This author either didn't want to understand or refused to understand that this animal is the lifeline of this veteran and that he is protected by ADA laws. Tonight's show is an education on these things. IT is also a warning to those who would disparage our service people and their families that we owe them more than we can ever repay and that we must have their backs as they have ours. I do not know the name of this author. I do know that Karma will pay her a visit. I do know that everything comes full circle. Do not miss this show. Christina, thank you for your courage and for speaking out.
