If you're not listening to the podcast, Tara is the winning. That's what James Morrison. Welcome to the PUBCcast. Sit down and enjoy your point.

Welcome to the Kill Bill Volume 1 episode of the PUBCcast. Allison and Eric join me to break down this incredible Kung Fu revenge classic from 2003. This is our first Tarantino movie to do on the PUBCast, but we have a couple more already lined up. Kill Bill was originally written as one movie, and Tarantino considers Volume 1 and 2 together to be just one movie.

So when he talks about retiring after 10 years, he's including this as one movie. So this episode is really just like half an episode. Out of the two, I think Kill Bill Volume 1 is the better movie, largely because of how it handles the O-Ran-Echee character introduction and the fight. We don't get a backstory even close to this for any of the other members of the Deadly International Viper Assassinations 1, even for Bill.

So this one really dives into character development for O-Ran-Echee. In this episode, we run through virtually all of Tarantino's references and homages to the Kung Fu movies he grew up with, and notice that this movie really isn't very quotable, unlike a lot of the movies we've already covered on the PUBCcast. Subscribe your sword, put on your yellow jumpsuit, and wiggle your big toe as we break down Kill Bill Volume 1. My friends and I worked for this man, Bill, but when I tried to get out, they did me in.

Now it's Kill or to Kill. You have a very great 20-bit event. Get even. I would have to kill you.

That'd be about square. And I'd choose Kill. Hey baby! How was school?

One tick to Tokyo, please, one way. Silly Caucasian girl likes to play with samurai swords. Cool. Any more subordinates for me to kill?

Bye! You didn't think it was gonna be that easy, did you? Yeah, I kinda did. Yeah.

Silly rabbit. High-pipes over. Alright, Kill Bill Volume 1 2003. This is the 21st anniversary.

Okay. The no-nonsense plot. After awakening from a four-year coma of former assassin, we used to vengeance on the team of assassins who betrayed her. Fine.

I want more from the no-nothing plot sometimes, but... What? That's what it is. That's all that it is.

It needs to be done to a little screen. So, now is where we would do the... Where you saw it. What impact did it have on that sort of stuff?

Doesn't matter. Let's just talk about the movie. Did we even see it in the theater? I don't remember.

2003. Liam would've been a baby. Did we have a chance to get out? I don't know.

Yeah. If I remember being super psyched when we saw the trailer. Yeah. Oh!

Tarantino. Obviously, he's done a bunch of violent movies or movies with violence in them, but this is his first action movie. Right. And it was even in the trailers, like, holy shit.

This is crazy. They can show anything crazy, but it's still... Yeah. You can tell something weird is happening.

There's no difference happening to me. Yeah. I like that it was almost cartoon violence. It's a comic book.

Yeah. Yeah. Eric, what are your initial thoughts on that? I know that I didn't see it in the theater.

I had 2003. I was just starting college. I remember when seeing the previews and stuff. It seems just like this over the top Quentin Tarantino version of an action movie.

And I didn't see... I rented it when it came up. But a lot of people that I was talking to that had seen in theater and stuff were just... Everyone was blown away.

That was the way everybody described it was just their mind being blown. It's such an unusual movie. And I'm surprised people haven't done something like this since, because previously everybody was copying Tarantino in all kinds of other ways. This one, it's so ingrained in who he is, all of the homages, all of the references to movies from the 70s and 80s and scenes.

There's a couple of things he references that are more contemporary. But this is like his childhood or his Saturday afternoons spilled out onto a movie corner. Yeah. It's crazy.

It's good though. I know you just said Saturday and it really doesn't matter day of the week. But for, I was going to say, for me, this feels like Sunday afternoon. Like nobody is like, it's the stuff that they put on TV that maybe people, some people will watch, but it's like, You know, people are watching it as opposed to the...

Yeah. I mean, to me, that's also part of the film was the... All the Kung Fu stuff, and using David Kirety, and the reference in Pulp Fiction, I'm gonna walk the earth like came from Kung Fu... Right.

And this movie is... It's an amalgamation of all those Kung Fu series and movies. It's great. Well, and you get the...

This comes to life the Ooma Thurman... Mia... Miywaller. The Fox four five the Fox four's five like it's just another version of it that is sort of foreshadowed in Pulp Fiction that is in this movie and There's like it feels like multiple kind of references back to be back to Pulp Fiction so like the That would make us square kind of thing when she's talking to Bernita Green It's the same kind of I think this is the first movie that opened up most of our eyes to the connected universe of it all Yeah in Reservoir Dogs in Pulp Fiction, but it's a little more subtle This one if you're paying attention a little bit you catch a lot of that stuff Right the Red Apple Ciderettes and the all that all those references are oh, it's it's the Tarantino universe.

Yeah, right Erick about you. Did you catch all that stuff early on? I did yeah That the whole five sports five full picture. That's yeah instantly jumps out.

Yeah, definitely So I was making a couple notes last night when we were watching it and here are the few notes that I have I wanted to bring up and then The rest of it will come up organically for us, but I mentioned the start with the Pussy Wagon at Verita Green's house I want to go before that and I commented on it when we were watching it last night the before even the opening credits the 70s kind of Production well you're getting into a trivial bit. Sorry. Okay. All right.

Well I'm just saying like it When that comes out for the first time you're like, okay, this is an entire movie that's gonna be Lots of references and omajas to movies from that period of time the Shasko title card Is in reference to the shawd brother's studio a Hong Kong production company that did a bunch of these concom food ring These and TV shows you stuff. Yeah, but I feel like I've heard that before like it Got me back to when I was a kid and apparently I was a recluse. I would be in the house on Sunday afternoon and It felt like the start of those movies and you know Tarantino was so proud of himself for having that at the beginning of the movie. So some of these behind the scenes or these making of things some of them have Tarantino talking about stuff and interviewing not only him but the people that were involved in the production and the guy behind a lot of the music or the Finding and helping him to find a lot of music was the riza from with inklam and they didn't really make much or any music for this movie it's all stuff they found existed and was in all these kung-pung movies and It's more like it was a soundtrack not a sword right right yeah So when Tarantino was talking about using the shawd brother stuff Riza lit up because he was one of those kids like Tarantino who was glued to the TV on a Sunday afternoon when it's raining and Ork or whatever and Obviously with Wu Tang the whole thing is kung-fu right shows and movies So he's dialed in at 11 just like Tarantino and when they started talking about this they both like oh The connection and so the shots go shot scope stuff on the beginning was definitely purposeful and meaningful to people like those do yeah, and it just sets the stage for the entire movie yeah So it's not it's not a period.

It's not a period piece, but it has the Feeling of those movies like if a super fan made a movie So my notes starting with the pussy wagon at Vrenita Green's house The searing music the you know the close in on Uma's eyes and the goes red I think and you know the Music in the punch interface chicks off a really perfectly it's so great And as part of that I wrote down the vivica 8 box great fighter right That action scene that fight between the two of them is awesome. Yeah, it's really good I think vivica is one of the best fighters that she faces in the movie like she's she does really well there It's yeah, it's not an actor like doing it. She fucking well But it's also not about weapons. It's it really is like a brawl.

It's not a fight Is that the right way to kind of characterize it? It's much more physical Punching throws and like it's hand-to-hand as opposed to fight with Daryl Hannah in the next movie is similar We're not supposed to talk about the next movie. I'm not but it's similar in that it's a brawl But it's way different right and as a way different feel vivica feels like a train fighter for me She's she's like a assassin. Yeah, and it's it was it's interesting to me about another interesting thing to me about that fight is how When Uma Thurman walks into the yard and you first see the house.

It's this like pristine like family Home that is just a facade for the visit vivica box has but then she gets into that fight and it's all out the window Like she's got that all those decorative plates on that shelf and she just Smashes it down on top of the limit without even thinking about it. Yeah, yeah Yeah, how Brutal that fight got that fast like all that other stuff went out the window Yeah, if you think about it It also kind of symbolizes the fragility of that facade that she had of like this life that like so quickly it came crashing down Yeah, the second that she got reintroduced to that world and in that in that opening sequence. I really liked the Nonverbal conversation that happened between the two of them when it's a kid gets when the bus pulls up and neither is looking It's like it's out of both of their peripheral in their peripheral vision and neither of them moves and it's a 30 second conversation that happens just with their eyes and It's like they both like they agreed instantly This is how we're you know, we're gonna stop without a single word. Yeah, it's not about the kid I'm gonna do with it.

What's right? What's pause? Do the Mike Myers Thing in Wayne world, you know, right? Game on versus whatever says yeah car car.

Yeah, so they basically said car. Yeah So I only wrote a few notes at the beginning of the movie nice stops because I'm just making additional right observations, but not be by be So I'm gonna skip ahead real quick to the hospital scene. Yes and I wrote down I think it's an observation I have now and then with somebody's actually I picked out a certain thing and compared to the rest With all the fantastical fighting and the the wire work and the swords and the Spicing people in half like bifurcating one guy from top to body Um, um upper body strength after the coma and the lack of muscle atrophy from the waist up essentially. Yeah, you know pulling yourself In the car into the car into the car.

Yeah, is the most unrealistic thing in this movie. Yeah, I believe everything else I don't believe that part of it. So I'm not know so yes, I have I have often thought of that Situation in her leg I'm jealous of that body that upper body strength and I haven't been in a coma for four years if she was a professional rock climber She couldn't do what she did there. I can do it the thing that four years in a coma Yeah, the thing that bothered me and I think about her bothered me from the very beginning She is like the super like very smart Person very aware blah blah blah blah blah.

Why would she think block with no where bill is He said nobody should like why would she? I mean smashing his head in the door for various rates while she was in a coma And appropriate why is she thinking that character is gonna know where bill is she's not banking on it But why not try? She's in a hospital. Why is she why is she dead?

Why didn't they kill her in her sleep? I don't know. So maybe this guy is protecting her on the word of bill. Maybe?

I don't know. I've always thought it was very strange It's always been very strange to me. I was okay with that I really like what she thinks. I'm gonna attach the little Achilles first and then the killy swipe is Is it Eric?

You may remember that from uh, pec cemetery. You remember that movie? Read the book. I know but I I watched I would see the movie in years.

Oh damn it. Maybe it just imprinted on me So I saw it There's a classic scene the old man played by oh Herman Munster The judge Yeah, so he's walking around and then can't find a kid in the kids zombie or whatever and Slice is the back like he's a killy with like a scalpel essentially and he falls over and he just like but yeah Yeah, so I'm down for that and so actually just head in the door What a creep and my final note from my little 15 minutes of notating was uh, there's some like over the top Tarantino foot fetish that we are absolutely All those movies, but yeah, he gets out of the way real quick. Well, he's gonna just look out. Yeah.

Yeah, she's fairfoot a lot Okay Look at the big toe. Yeah, we go. We go. We go part parts over.

Yeah. All right. Um, So this movie got me thinking about what are the best or most memorable revenge films? Oh revenge movies And when you start thinking about it The forget about best when we start thinking about what are revenge films?

I tell this one and that one and that one and then all of a sudden it grows exponentially. There are so many revenge films Uh or that would qualify right? Prevention so I found some lists and a lot of the ones we would know for the before our time or their Uh from korea or wherever right so I made a list of some of the ones mentioned on the top Of 10 top 20 top 50 lists. Uh, so I'll just throw them out there.

Okay as best revenge films Okay, while i'm going through see try and think if something jumps out to you that I we missed okay Oh, we definitely should think about this other movie. Yeah, by the way I'm like panicking because I like nothing is immediately coming to mind. I was not prepared for this part I know when I throw out some of these these titles it'll trigger. Okay.

Um, So the first one on the list is a tantino Uh, engoria's bastards. Oh, correct. It's not technically a revenge film. It's a fantasy revenge film.

I mean, it's not reality. It's something This is still not reality well, but this is a different type of genre, but it counts right uh old boy the original old boy But there's also a zir Korean film from the 90s. Um, it's Yeah Oh Did you see the remake? I have not seen the remake so an american remake it's funny because it has um, Thanos and the scarlet witch Elizabeth Olsen and uh, what's his face?

Um, yeah, Thanos Yeah, um, josh rolling josh rolling Like right after they started one of the movies The movie together they did they both were in this old boy movie and it's vastly different and Creepy. Okay. Yeah. Yeah the original will haunt you.

Yeah, it's great. It's a really good crazy Paunting movie. Yeah, that's a great revenge one Then we've got stuff like the crow That's a good one. Do you know, I've never seen that movie.

Oh, it's where it's of course Just for the 90s. I know I'm not proud of that fact. I probably should have seen it in a vacuum. It's not a great movie, but it's uh Fun 90s, right?

It's definitely a snapshot of that time too. Well, isn't that the big Thing where that guy dies? Randomly. Yeah.

Yeah, yeah for nothing else of like the Um Wow my brain's not firing today the cultural reference or the There's a couple scenes where he's not really in the scene. I had like couple together some footage here and there Right, right. It's great Uh down my list. Okay.

Gladiator is a revenge movie Memento Is technically a revenge movie even though the guy doesn't remember anything Uh, I put these two on even though they're like reverse revenge movie And this is cape fear and pastry game Where the villain is getting revenge on the hero essentially Patriot games, Sean Miller, right? Revenge on Jack Ryan, right? Right? Verse revenge.

Uh, yes, the hero gets revenge on uh, what's his face? Um, so Take out the assault. Okay. Right.

Revenge of course. Um, death wish, Charles Bronson in the 70s. Fantastic Uh, I've seen a lot of revenge movies. I gotta say I'm forgiven with Clint Eastwood, right?

Revenge movie Herery The Steven King's original sis basic. Yep. That's a revenge movie on all those consoles that treated her badly. Yeah But then when you start to think those movies that don't you know think of as revenge movie, but they are then you start thinking, oh, well, this qualifies that qualifies John Wick John Wick is a hundred like it's like four within the revenge movie.

Right? Yeah No bill on list for sure. One and two. Yeah.

All right. Now we move to the box office. Hmm It's kind of interesting. Okay.

Kind of being the upper-door Uh, so I'll go through the top 10 kill bills not the top 10. No, I can't imagine that's it. That was His movies are always after they were released almost. Yeah, that's when they become it's almost like They become cult classics while they're current when we do Pulp Fiction.

We'll look at the larger Tarantino Right thing. I want to see where his movies all are in commercially like where they fell in the ranking My first thought is Tarantino is not a wildly successful commercial director. His movies make money, of course But they don't make as much as you think they did or should right Okay box office number one finding Nemo. This was 2003, right?

Yeah, okay, 339 million This is the domestic that was number one. Yeah, 339 was number one 339 domestic Well, yeah It's been so long as we've done one of these that I couldn't remember if we pulled domestic or worldwide I think it's a mistake and I pulled worldwide numbers. I'm like, oh, these numbers are too big. We don't we don't generally do that So From now on we're doing domestic if we didn't before all right Okay, the record that we for the record never remember what's on the record.

So we are never We are consistently inconsistent Yeah Number two pirate to the Caribbean curse of the black pearl I is that the first one or the fifth one like I know that's the first one. It is the first one. I think it's the first I don't know. I only know the first movie and then they're all Learned their blur after that.

I Don't know what any of them are called. I feel like all of them are called the black pearl or some version of that black beard's anus That's the fifth one. Wow Okay, so that was 305 the matrix reloaded number three 281 million number four Yeah, 2003 Lord of the Rings the return of the king third one 249 million I can't believe that was that far down. That was a that was a December release though.

So that yeah Release dates skew everything but we're just I claim I would ever box office. No, no, no Number five a surprise top five finish for Bruce almighty Wow Jim Terry could do no wrong for the longest He's chosen not to do stuff is crazy and he could be the biggest darn world The past decade He's coming back for sonic the hedgehog three though He did I'm not kidding that number six x two whoa Which is uh x-men to yeah 215 million number seven elf 167 million number eight Chicago 167 and James 30 tied number nine terminator three 150 million 2003 was terminator three Yes, it's number two came out like in 92 Number 10 in the top 10 bad boys two I thought that was funny So that's the top 10 Hillbill you have to go past 15 past 20 past 25 past 30 past 35 Wow Wow So number 35 school of rock 35 was cool around yeah 79 million 36 the last samurai that was Tom Cruise yeah 79 million 37 it was old school Wow 75 million I'm pretty impressed with that low on the ranking that they were still I mean bigger movies. Yeah, look how far things have fallen these days Well, I mean we're not yeah Uh kill bill volume one comes in at number 38 Wow 69 million It had a budget of 30 million So it more than double its budget That ain't great but it's not great I mean even then yeah Forget about top 10 but to be at 38 I'm surprised by that I'm trying to remember did one and two come out at the same time Was there a bit of a gap that got a lot? There was a couple of months right?

It was months not a year right? I think it was months you know We have the power to finally So I didn't compete with itself necessarily Let's look at the Google machine. Okay volume one came out October 10 Wow nice. Happy birthday Volume two came out the following April 16th Oh, so six months six months months months months months months months months months Um, yeah, so Did they film them at the same time?

He did right? I don't believe that. No, no, no He can see that them as one movie right? Um It was sort of in the shooting that they had decided to split it right?

He was talking to some, okay, some production guy or some Weinstein, whoever it was And he would have been fine making it one movie Please like but they've decided No matter how we hear some quote like we put it this way my This guy was saying this studio executive or whoever I think it was Harvey Weinstein, I'm not the person that I'm quoting He said my uncle will would and will love kill Bill He won't love it if it's four hours long You gotta break us up into two movies That was that's it. Yeah, uh, no matter how good your movie is it can't be four four four and a half hours long It just doesn't make financial sense. You gotta break it up. Right.

Um, so he did But he's even said I I'm talking about it today in some video. Uh, it's like, yeah, it's I wrote it as one movie It's technically one movie split in two parts, but we made two movies So there you go. Okay The Run to Make Up The One of the few times splitting a story into two movies was the right thing to do Yeah, it definitely worked. What's that big?

Yeah, dude? Um, the Run to Make Up the score. Okay Let's do critics first. Oh I'm gonna go critics.

Yeah 89 Eric, I'll say 80 80 Because I feel like they're gonna like the style and the references I think I I agree, but I think at the same time They won't that they they would look down on the blood and violence If I were voting I would have said I didn't know the answer I would have said around Eric or lower even I would have said The critics might have tried to see through and get that through smart themselves about like, um Too many homages. I've seen that before I've seen that before like they might they make things more like steely Not Elijah's. Mm. That's my opinion critics 85 percent So right in the middle between both of you people right?

Audience score. Mm. So what what was the audience reaction of this and this is what percentage of the audience gave it a yay versus a nay? I'm gonna say 90 percent.

Mm. That was my guess as well If not it'll be higher audience score 81 oh, yeah, lower than the critics Blowing right why are we always I feel like we're always surprised by that. I know Hmm we get caught by that every time We never get this right and we never learn from a state. I know how one to five people is like, I don't like that movie Too many five No, no 81 percent like that but critics is higher.

I can't I can't believe the critics like kill bill more than the audience Who the fuck is this audience? I kind of well, actually this is a movie. I would believe the critics would like one. I mean I I even though I guess I know I know I know but like I know but like now I'm Like the more like we talked about it.

I can see them sort of liking it But that's still a pretty high percentage of people that are like no man. I don't like this movie Yeah At this point in his career it felt like this movie was the most Right commercially commercially viable movie that there to never made that it was gonna be able to bring in more of the General public People talking about it The most common thing I heard was people saying this is Timothy knows most commercial movie, right? At least I'm not Still um, yeah audience I don't know what you knew he was going in you saw the trailers you bought the ticket This is the movie you can see like watching at a regal theater like one of the markets or whatever the Hope fiction in particular probably hateful eight is more of like the art house independent theater. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah I mean they were independent Yeah, so write this down for the future reference Uh by a theater and only show tarantina movies Like the john hues. Yeah, I think you can show Nine movies right now. No, I'm waiting for the 10th to come out after the 10th come out 10 movies and that's it that's it that's it and I'm only gonna be open for a decade Will all of the chairs be in like cars?

I would like the interior to be like jackrabbit slims. I'm great No, each theater is a different movie one theater is jackrabbit slims one theater is the house of blue flowers Whatever right right right um one theater is just a club A bloody puddle is for the reservoir dogs and one well, it's a diner No Probably just the warehouse Yeah, yeah, I'm shown on like center black wall Uh barely see it so for the audience. I am definitely trademarking this idea and copy writing the uh thoughts and we're definitely doing this So no one steal it I'm sure it'll be super easy to get tarantina. That's not right.

He's in he's in okay one back in trivia This is where we could draw the rails and this podcast could be 16 hours long right okay Uh it can't be but I wrote down a bunch of stuff and then I I couldn't write down so this is simply trivia trivia Facts Yeah, that's okay. Mm-hmm. Let me get us started with the few and then I will open it up to me I've written down five so if you start checking off my five I have a secondary list in my back pocket. Okay.

All right. So and To preface this Tarantino fans will know much of this. This is not surprised to some of you This will be surprising to some of you, uh, you know, right if you credit for It's like this That's the indication of all these Tarantino stuff because there's so much Tarantino Associated content out there, but I feel like he loves trivia so he wants trivia to be out there about his stuff That's good. That's we hold that for a future It looks so Uh despite being bleeped out of the film the name of the bride is revealed on her plane ticket to Okinawa and Tokyo Ah, yep.

Yep. That's tricky. It's quick. Yep Uh question for both of you How many kills are there in this movie?

I I know I okay, so he knows that So I saw three different numbers. I don't know the number, but I have a range or a couple of them I have I have one number that I saw Eric. I saw one number. I saw I also saw one number Eric say your number What did you see?

I saw 95. That's what I saw I saw 90 something I saw a very specific like 62 Wow and I saw 41 as well The answer is probably 60 or 70 Quimpo kills because some are limbs chopped off. Does that count as a kill? I don't know right maybe yes It's not like we can dependally say on some of these who cares the numbers.

Yeah between 60 and 90 Yeah, I was gonna say well you start with 87 because that one kid, but I know they didn't all die So then you got to sort of back off how many people were sort of moving around at the end Right, maybe 12 and then you start adding back the mob boss that that lost his head you've got to add Brittany to green and Oren, Ishii and So my number is north of 80 right I don't know, you know whatever right um I believe let me see where I had written somewhere. Oh, except for the anime portion Every kill in the movie is done by a female Except for the anime with the boss the most of the anime deaths of course That's got like A lot of people think that the boss boss Masim The boss in the anime That name So his like right hand guy in the animation who leaves the room on fire a lot of people Some people think that is supposed to be built. No Interesting and I thought Somebody maybe was even quententino. Yeah, these are quententino or maybe harvey Why do you see confirmed that that's confirmed that well the confirmed it Yeah, the character that is bill the character in the anime is clearly Asian.

Let's say that's what I thought to say Japanese but Asian Um He has a name. I can't pull it right now. He has a name that is not bill Yeah, but can but can't I know I have a Japanese name and then you go to the states and you're like my name is bill as opposed to I know, okay, but David karotene is it was in jeopardy. Oh, so both of those things hold and I believe um Tarantino at some point What I read said that it's not I do like that.

I know that it's him and somehow they he and oren were able to kind of figure it out. There is a longer Anime sequence like it parts were cut out. Yeah in that longer part. I believe uh oren does kill him All right, but it's not in the movie.

So does that matter? I don't know. I didn't really happen right Uh how many times does fox have a movie Previous tarantino movies and I'll I'll even say after this movie I'll say all tarantino movies. Uh have had 100 or more I'm gonna say 87.

All right, Eric. What do you think? I think that's I think my number sign whenever vice Yeah, it's gonna be feeling it's gonna be lower. I'll say I'll say 55 almost going 35 the data I have That my quantitative specialist Right your analyst is 17.

Oh just 17. That's the same I'm almost surprised at that. Hi. Yeah, but yeah, so previous I'm not in like Japanese Yeah, uh, I'll ask my uh Um previous tarantino movies obviously have been Among the most fuck heavy movies of all time.

Yeah, uh, this is super small. Yeah Uh Okay, here's uh we've seen something like this stat before but it's always fun when it comes up Okay, and I checked it today personally and it checks out. Okay In the fight between the bride and oren in the snow. Yes Uh, oren says after they're talking a little bit She says I hope you saved your strength or you won't last five minutes.

Yeah From the time the music starts to the moment oren scalp is sliced is four minutes and 59 seconds Oh I have written down that it was five minutes 30 seconds I timed it. All right, run the music. It depends what you start but from the music hitting. Yeah.

Yeah, so when she starts walking No from when the music starts. I don't know how that's when the music starts when she takes her She I don't know takes off her little flip-lapse and then she takes her first. That's when the music starts sure So it works man. I'm just telling you I didn't I was listening.

I did not verify the time when she says the line. It's five minutes and 30 seconds But when she starts walking it's four minutes and 59 great. Yeah, I'll go with that. It works with both She outlasts in the five minutes.

So when That's that happens in movies we have noted it before and it's always great. Yeah, all right good Uh No, I don't think we know that The movie had so much blood was so bloody. Yes, especially in the fight at the house of blue flowers Yeah, I'm just gonna say house of blue flowers until something correct is I'm going like we've watched the movie in the last 24 hours. I mean don't know the close.

Um the blue place. Yeah So there's so especially fighting the crazy 88s. There's so much blood. There's some fountains of bloods burning everywhere The uh rating system guys said it's too bloody.

You gotta cut this scene. It's That's why he's like I'm not cutting shit. Let's make half of it I was wondering if that was the case. Okay, so that's an old trick that he's new or saw from previous directors or whatever Uh, it's less going again when they would show old kung fu movies in the united states on tv That's what they would do when they would get extra bloody.

So he used it turned out It was it was what he needed for the ratings, but at the same time it worked as an homage. It totally It's like a happy accident. It works great. Yeah So a couple things just to jump in because you've already checked off three of two of my five I've got two four big ones left, okay, um, I would say Um, the it's kind of obvious of course, but Bucks sunglasses that she puts on are just like what's his names in true romance.

Yeah, they're the oldest glasses. Correct. Which I have I know you do and Uh fun facts for all my fans out there Uh, you can see me wearing them on the letter from the editor in one of my magazines. Oh perfect They're it's also my screen set or so Um second is at quent and tarantino was one of the bloodied crazy 88s at the end or like at the end of the fight where they're on the ground Yeah, I know that And then the third is that tarantino owns the pussy wagon And he was driving it around a lot in l.a.

When his movie Was released as a part of like a like a viral marketing type of deal. Yeah, correct That has also appeared in other movies as well like uh, not movies, uh videos or tv shows Yeah, you're in there So and just a further extension on that so the vanity plate on said truck is psy wgn And when it plays on like cable non hbo or stars the back of the tailgate is changed to party wagon. It's right. Yeah, it's okay But the license plate stays the same.

Yeah, yeah Right. Yeah All right. I got another thing. Can I I don't know that it's a piece of trivia per se, but I noticed that this go around in watching the movie, which is um, atory hanzo's Role, but it can't say it's like a full camo But like his white jacket that he's wearing when he was working in the sushi place Has a giant chain as the ham of his jacket as sort of like he carries this weight of guilt of like of You know making all of these weapons of death and he you know trained bill to be this like horrible person And so he has tried to live this peaceful life, but he still carries the weight of this so chain We have a question later.

It's like what would you want to see in a sequel? Was made I would love to see the backstory of atory hanzo course nine nurse Tarantino fans will know that that character exists in many different forms on many different tv series, maybe movies Um previously it's a long running Uh character throughout a lot of these kung fu type movies, um, but I want to see this hatori hanzo's back story. That'd be fun Yeah, yeah So by the way, that's just I did not see that publish anywhere about the chain but that No, it's too. I'm like wow that would make a ton of sense.

I'm looking at it and then being expected Yeah, but I remember like sort of paying attention to it, but I never really looked at the design I just thought it was kind of unusual And then like today I looked at it and like oh that actually would make a ton of sense if that's what it was intended to be Okay, Jacob marley and chris was carol. Yeah, exactly exactly Uh Okay So the bride refers to bills assassins as the vipers their formal title is And I I would have called them the the uh deadly viperous deadly viper assassin squad sesame squad The formal title is the deadly international viper assassination squad It's too fing long Or for short vadivas di vas Uh, I never put that That's better. Although the international part Like it's right It's two thousand minutes. I know It's too good.

It's like those women right? Yeah, so and We name All six members including bill can we name all of their um Codenames Black mamba The bride overhead Uh copper head is rania green there's a copper is a copper mouth cut mouth cut mouth something bottom mouth is oren California Snake California mountain snake is l driver What is bud? Um, I can't remember and then bill is the snake tremor the last you don't hear this movie really Yeah, um, bud is signed side winder. Oh, yeah, right and bill is a snake tremor Yeah In so this is in part two, but it correlates to this um bill drives, uh Day tomasso mengusa An Italian race car or uh Italian sports car Okay Mengusa is Italian vermongus which are well known for their ability to fight and kill venomous snake Ah, I thought that was a good little thing That's good.

That's good Who cares? It's nonsense, but great. It's just like the little thing I saw at one point they were gonna have uh verdita green being the cobra and it got changed to Yeah, um, the other Yeah, a couple of these like calico mountain snake. I'm like, yeah, fine.

There's never better name looking to look like that Uh Gordon leu played the role of johnny mo the head general the crazy 88's or orenishi or reishi ease uh personal army of kung fu of Hermit, um, and he also played kung fu master pymets Oh and pymé volume two. Isn't he? Oh, that's not the same guy though. That's also in the Musushi restaurant.

Yeah, I always think that's the same guy who is, um, Atory hanzo's little buddy. Yeah, I don't know if that's true. The other part is true. I meant to look I meant to look so I didn't see that but I think that's I don't understand why that happened.

I'm pretty sure he's not. Yeah Why directors will do that but because I find it distracting when they use the same actor for multiple parts like that like Is it supposed to be obvious because he's unrecognizable essentially in both. Um, one he's wearing a mask at one. He's pymae but there's like but there's like um Like vacation does that where there's like the same actor place to different characters or in like Wizard of Oz The same actor place to different characters.

Like it's so weird when directors do that like you can't find somebody else Who's the big guy that's also in like all the Indiana Jones? Like why why you there's six billion people to pick from you couldn't find a second person to listen I worked with this guy. I like this work. He showed up on time.

So you know Okay, I mean today like he makes a lot of sense He's uh unrecognizable for months the other one's really dialed in and Okay, my last big one and then I'll throw it to Eric for some extras and I have a whole list of quickies now. Okay, um Vernita green in that fight. Yeah They go through the whole thing the glass the kid comes in the pause the whole deal and they go in to make coffee She grabs a cereal box. The cereal box is a palace.

No, it's kaboom. It's a palace. It's a palace. It's a palace Or it's not kaboom.

I'm pretty sure it's good. I thought it was good. I thought it was kaboom because that was a real cereal It's kaboom. All right, right.

Good. Even better. Um I think that's a little bit of a problem. It's a real cereal.

Which has the gun in it. It goes power Um, that's a nice little real way as well. Eric do you have any trivia you want to throw in otherwise I have a a bunch of You got most of the stuff that I had seen but um I will I think this one's kind of care. I think a lot of people must want to read but um Michael parks the actor who played uh the sheriff Earl McGraw.

He has a deputy with him who's Edgar McGraw is he's supposed to be a son But Edgar is also played by his real life son James Parks. No, oh, so his father and son playing father and son Interesting and the actor appears again in this Yes, Michael Parks plays another part in volume 2. Uh, I like I'd written it down for um one of the quotes But I like when he calls him son number one And I definitely didn't catch that the first time I thought it took a couple of things to go. Yeah, yeah What did you say?

That it's so funny. It's so funny And he because he just treats him sort of like he's a idiot like I like it. Yeah, um, okay So I'm gonna run through this. I think I'm not sure how successful it's gonna be.

All right, just we'll just see what happened Um Okay, at this point We all know and anyone who's paid attention knows Tarantino is well known for his references to other films his homages to other films Some people say he's stealing from other films in every film he's done. He's done specific scenes dialogue visual setups Whatever that are very close to other films and largely it's because They are homages to films. He loves directors. He loves from the 70s from the 60s from the 80s stuff he grew up with He was well known as a video Um, store worker and watch wm movies all the time and whatever We know he is referencing tons of stuff all the time This movie has to be his number one by far as far as number of homages in this way, okay There are plenty and others, but this is has to be biggest We talked about the shaw scope.

I know card the shaw brother studio hunt on stuff Here we go. I'm gonna hi. So this is with I am pulling this from a vanity fair video on youtube We can all find it. They have 58 references and homages I started writing them down and got tired But I think I probably have 50 written down here.

Wow. I may or may not go through all of them. All right We'll see who's interested in this stuff. Okay, we may abandon it pretty quickly.

Okay Early on the bride on the ground with the bloody face and the black and white and she's saying, uh, build this is That's in reference to he's doing the good the bad and ugly Okay, the bride laying down and silhouette when she's just like title card stuff over her Whatever just in silhouette black and white is in reference to system came Uh using those chapter headings is in reference to lady snowblood at 1973. That's a movie He references throughout this movie. Okay, lady snowblood kung fu classic from 1973 I had meant to stop and watch that before this movie but didn't we should all the life with ladies. No blood Totally great and have all these things okay The dramatic zoom into the bright eyes and the alarm sound is from death rides a horse 1967 That's also referenced later in something else.

Uh the piercing sound Yeah, so that that same sound um is from a quincy jones song from iron side the tv show 1967 Also used in five fingers of death 1972 Yeah, I know you know The fight scene with the bride and bring to green is reminiscent of copy in 1973 uh, verita greens alias jine bell or Jeannie bell um on the the uh mailboxes as bells whatever Uh is from 1970s blast-boytation star jeannie bell. It's a real. Yeah Uh, the sunglasses on the share of stash board is from john in 60 seconds 1974 the le driver whistling Yeah, uh is from twisted nerve 1969 lee driver wearing the ipatch and her whole look is uh tribute to thriller from uh thriller a cruel picture 1973 and patch from switch It doesn't matter move on. Uh another movie as well.

Uh, I think I have the bible here doesn't matter the hospital split screen. Um, just from uh director grande de palma in many films Ellie driver going to kill the bride in the hospital is it l l l okay So lee um you want to kill the bride and hospital with the syringe and everything Um that's an homage to black sunday 1977 the hospital bite the lip with the uh, uh, uh Bride is from lone wolf and cub maybe carta Hades 1972 Uh buck i'm here to fuck that whole thing. Yeah from eating alive 1976 Uh the pussy wagon we know where that's from no direct. You know where that's from adult lyrics from the song greece lightning in the movie greece I know The deadly viper assassination squad looking down is from ladies no blood Right.

Right. Um The swad snake codenames is a reference to the marble comics. Uh the serpent the serpent society The whole society in the way like snake names The anime sequence is from is an homage to death rides a horse again. Um, it's the first half of it is nearly shot for shot from that movie Uh, uh, tori hanza we talked about that is from kage and edunda edunda The gunden de tv series bunch of hori patori hanzos throughout history essentially Uh when hatori hands the swords to the bride.

Um, that's from samurai reincarnation 1981 Gogo the actress, uh Gogo the character Is played by actress shiaki kiriama and she played a similar character in the battle royal from 2000. I used her characters Uh trait from that movie of stabbing Uh her attackers in the crotch. Oh, what she said when she stabs him in the night bar whatever Um, the orange sky and the model plane flying to a tokyo or wherever. Uh, that's from goki body snatcher from hell in 1968 So did he just create like, okay, I've got 60 movies that I want to have some sort of reference So I you he used it to create a storyboard for this movie And okay, I want to I want to do something for each of these movies So if this is my story, this is how I want to incorporate each of them into each part of the movie I know or this is my favorite thing about this movie.

It's my favorite thing about that movie It's an exhausting list So I'm gonna stop going through it, but there is another 15 here I have listed And I'll just mention that three other ones from lady snowblood the super bloody special effects that founds of blood ladies The fight in the snow garden with oren looks exactly like the fight in uh leaves no blood The song when oren dies is the song from ladies no blood. Oh interesting. Um, so there's a bunch of them Sure and The one we all know I think I hope everyone knows is that the brides tracksuit the yellow and black track suit is from uh Bruce Lee wearing that in game of death uh 1978 So I did not do much to look at this because I I didn't want to but um Did crouching tiger hin dragon's style come from something else or was it unique because that's very clearly in the the blue Whatever bar the wire works that wire work stuff like that's a Hong Kong stable. Okay.

Okay. Yeah, because I looked and um crouching tiger hin dragon came out in 2000 This is in 2003. So I didn't do the extra research Beyond to see where that came from how if that was super new or it was just an exaggeration of what's been done before but the You know her like climbing up the walls or like, you know coming down on like a shoot a bamboo and that's all very 70s come through Okay, yeah, that's a staple of comfort cinema or tv wherever it was. Yeah, okay All right.

Well, that's that um Now we get to oh was touch on casting issues for a second before we get into recasting I didn't see a lot of casting stuff. I didn't look up much casting some The bride was always gonna be um, it was written by um, and uh, quick and fore Yeah, the only one that I cared about I didn't look up anything else beyond this was the options for bill And blows my mind how many people turned that down So the main I'll give you the main ones that I saw and then eric you can fill in the gaps of the other rumored uh afters But the main two that I saw where it was written for essentially war and baby Right he was gonna be bill And he turned it down pretty quickly. I think and then another name that was I've seen associated Was offered or not or all this stuff gets murky. I don't know what's real.

What's not but This guy's been approached by Tarantino in for multiple movies and it said no every time Um, it was Kevin tosser No, I can deal with that accent in that role. I don't he doesn't bring a little I don't think I know I trust Tarantino to make everybody work he right figures about I don't see it working, but no I think karadin is freaking perfect karadin's perfect. It's got all the company stuff. It's perfect Heridine got the role in kung fu because bruce lee couldn't do it or didn't want to do it Um, so it's got all the bruce lee tie-in all that sort of stuff.

Oh, correct. It's high ends to perfection that we thought about. Oh correct It's great. So eric, how is the other uh 1990s actors that were all part of this uh potential The other names that I saw who passed on it and I still I don't understand what quint Tarantino has you to be in a movie you say Yes, it doesn't matter So people that currently turned down bill jack diklson.

Yep kirk rustle micky roe and burt renalds get out of here I don't see jack and elson. Oh, no They need I don't see burt renalds at that time. No all of those all of those guys would be That's like the warren baity version of the character Yeah, I read a lot of stuff about quent Tarantino quent Tarantino saying when it was warren baity Who is gonna be like a james bond type of yeah? He fully reworked the script when he had a different actor.

Yeah, yep And so I also did see at some point bruce willis was considered. Um, I don't know how far that got Um, he honestly worked with him in co-fiction Um, but it from what I saw in red it got Serious enough that he was he was in real consideration I think after all these guys turned it down but before he approached before he thought of david karate Um, but I read it was warren baity that recommended karate No, I think I saw that yeah, maybe bristleos was on some shortlisten and everything got to you like It's one of it's one of those castings where it's like You it's hard to think how you could consider anybody else for the role right? It's a perfect cast all those other guys you have to teach some sort of is it's the perfect cast it you have to Get them into the headspace of a kungkung master It almost gives legitimacy to the movie in a weird way like if you're gonna have all of these references to these 1670s It's sort of like it's like okay. I am giving you I'm doing the sign of the cross here like I am blessing this movie as Something that's gonna work and whatever because karate from kungfu elevates the movie in this group Yes, every possible way.

Yes, which I've never said about their karate No All right, so unless anyone else had any no crazy casting. I mean I know they wanted originally or rent each He's character was gonna be um Japanese or japanese and half chinese but then when I got losey loo that oh we could do a whole thing where it's right half japanese half chinese but she's uh Parents are merican or Maybe it's in big game. Great. But uh that's not recasting thing.

It was no girls considered Yeah, great. Okay. It is now time for a recasting debate. It's time to recast debate Better close the door.

It's time to be castor bait. Okay. We have The bride the bernita green l driver Orin ece territory hanzo and then some wildcards if you want I know you love the wildcards al so I did not I did not bear off really no, I didn't um and we didn't want So I found this process We're in painless like all my ideas came to me fairly quickly. It was not a problem What are they working on?

I don't know but uh it wasn't difficult to find people to that would work well enough in these parts Yeah, I've got a couple that I'm like I would be shocked that we all don't have this person in the role And there's one that I keep laughing at myself that I put this person in but I want to do it So So I'm assuming the role you're talking about is a tori hanzo. No, no, it's not because I think that's the easiest and most obvious Potential person. Okay. Okay.

No, I'm not saying this right here. No. Do you want to start at the top of the bottom? Uh you want to start with the bride or start with the bride or start with the bride?

Okay, uh I have some I have Mind feel very obvious. Okay. You were coming with something more interesting All right, so I'm gonna go from three to one All right And part of me was looking uh like people that had unique looks. Okay.

Um, why was that important? I I don't know. Uh, uber Thurman is she's a beautiful woman, but she's got a unique look to her So one thing I want that is a sidebar. Uh, I don't know that I achieved it But when I thought about her, I was hoping yeah, I'll just say about hoping for I was hoping to find an actress Who had some presence in height because her I did that somewhere else her uh, That's her necessarily but I mean I guess her She's not five three.

Uh, whatever she is. She's not five three. Um, she has something she can stand up to Everybody's move. Yes.

Yeah. So my number three is sarsha roman. Oh Wow. Okay.

Good. Here's my point in mind already Uh number two is anna taylor joy. Oh I like a lot And then number one she is slightly less Um unique looking but I like her in the part thinking about the character of the bride is mckenzie davis Who plays the analyst in the martian? I know she is.

Yeah. Um, she was the robot in in um Wait a hundred twenty forty nine as well. Oh, yes, um, correct We should be the most I was really going back and forth between her and anna taylor joy as my top Against person on you on your tailer joys a while in there Uh, um I think on you taylor joy. I think Is for me as the winner in the clubhouse so far.

Okay. I'll do mine since i'm talking Uh, okay. I have four I have four for three spots. Um, all right number three doesn't matter really I guess Uh, so I'll just say And by the way, I had a backup.

I have a backup. I'm not we won't mention the backup until ericos. Yeah, um So my number three is going to be blake lively. Oh, I thought about her.

Yeah, I think great sort of a modern Analog for mitherman. I think yeah, I was trying to figure out if she would move fast enough That was actually like I thought that I had that would cross our mind. I think that is amazing. I thought about it That's insane body.

Um My number two, I don't like oh probably shouldn't be honest list, but I put her in there anyway Margot Robbie. Oh, yeah I thought about it. I know she she Didn't have the unique look I was looking for. Yeah, I know Uh All the time on this podcast.

I don't say I don't want her there don't say it. Never going damn it I know I knew you were gonna say it. No. Yeah.

No, okay. I mean, I know it's a safe pick. Yeah, okay If I have to get this movie finance, that's what I'm putting in it. Never Lawrence.

I think I'll get all the studio people and the money people to buy in Uh, but yeah, it's fine. Yeah Eric give us your three and then we'll do our lower All right, I think I kind of I think I sort of pigeonholed myself a little bit when I was thinking about this because I was thinking about it in terms of Quentin Tarantino passing it because he always not always but a lot of times he works with the same people a lot That was kind of going through and looking back with his other actresses. They were in his other movies I thought you were going in the direction of he always plucked somebody who used to be a star and he's trying to revive their career thing And that and that was my next point because he also goes for somebody who is Um from you haven't seen for a long time. Um So I got four names the my least favorite name But it's the one that I thought of that he might have would possibly clocked and bring back Um, but I think at this point because I had to look it up to see how old the therbin was one that movie came out She was 33.

Yeah, something like that. Ish. Um, and I think she's a little old at this point, but rose McDowin You're saying? Yeah, and then as far as working with somebody before it's Somebody where he said muggle Robbie Yeah, um Somebody who could definitely pull off the physicality of the role I think even much better than we have a talk about this yet, but I thought physically Uma Thurman It was barely holding her own in this movie.

Um Charlie's there on That's one That's a great one. I think the age comes into play and yeah age is an issue and then just the fact like this the bride character is as much Uma Thurman as it is Quentin Tarantino's character so to have it be anybody else but her is a little Strange to think about so I agree. I was just a throwaway. I put in Mya Hawk.

I know it one of us didn't say it. That was gonna say it. Yeah. Yeah, I like that.

Yeah That's a question. Even though she's on she's going the other way. She's probably too young yet. Yeah, yeah Mya Hawk in eight years.

Yeah, 10 years or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. All right.

Let me go with my fourth place. Okay. Um So this would have replaced Blake Lively. I guess somebody okay But based on what we've seen of her in big movies, I don't I don't want her in my movie anymore.

Um, Rila Arsen. Oh, yeah, I think she could do this movie. She could do the work. Yeah, I wish she could do it But her like apathy in a Marvel movie makes me think like, oh, maybe we know she can do this.

I never know how to say my person's name Uh, like myaars. No, Kara Delavie Delavie. Yeah, okay. Again thinking about kind of unique look somebody that's gonna be able to play sort of a serious character Yeah, so I have an opinion.

Okay. I don't think she's a good enough actress to do it. Who interesting I don't think she can pull it off. I think she's interesting.

See, I think there's a lot of action with this one. So that's true. That is true. All right.

Um, okay. Who should we do next? Vernita just out of the Movie chronology. Yes.

All right. I'll do my first I think I like all my I think all of them put the coin. I like I like all my two. There's one that I keep giggling about So I'm gonna do mine and it's essentially in no particular order, but I have it number one because she's a fan favorite mine, okay Uh, number three.

I'm gonna do Janelle Monet. Oh, yeah Yep, yep Actually, I should know you To keep on her. Oh I don't know if she has the physical presence, but maybe Maybe she has enough sort of attitude to make it work. Yeah, I don't know if you heard me react.

I was laughing my own Number one is someone who I always bring up. Yeah, apparently she's one of my favorite actresses I don't know how I get around this one. It's as he beats. Well, she was my number two.

She's my number one Yeah, I think she I don't have much. I think fight. Yeah, I think she's great. Yeah, I agree.

She was my number two. Okay, that's a good one Uh eric give us your brenita green aka. I've got I've got two Um, my number two keep on working so they're ready and then my number one who has all the attitude in the world that I think definitely Is good to do the role physically to uh tippity haddish. Oh That's great.

I love her That's really good I think she's older too though. I think eric is doing a different generation. Uh, kill bill. No, it's good.

He's doing yeah, it's great. Okay Uh, yeah, I've got my number three was Zoe credits And I had zazzy beats as number two and my number one and it was all about the attitude And I've seen her act And I think it's gonna be a slightly different version of this character But who's going to kick some ass if somebody steps up to her is riana? Holy shit I like I'm good with that. I like her answering the door.

I like her answering the door and That first like she gets punched in the face kind of like out of nowhere and then she's believable as the Um as a mom as a mom of course because she of course. Yeah. Yeah, all right But she's the one I've been thinking about because I think it's so different, but I love it. That's good I am not gonna go first, but I Love all my l drivers.

Oh, I think I hit three grand slams So In my opinion. All right, let's let air go first air. I can go first um Okay, um I have um It's probably she's this one's on the young side. Um, I don't like it very much.

It's definitely my number three Um, city, sweetie. Yeah. Oh, um, I have surely stare on here as well. That's good.

Yeah. Yep. Yeah I'm like and then like that on this one And then the third day I have um is Uh, avrian clicky she was in she was Perkins in the first john wick movie. Oh, yeah.

Oh Where has she been by the way? She was on what was that? Uh, the Seth la farlane star trek Oh, I think she was on that and oh, she's the book. All right.

That's a good one. That's a good one All right. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go next.

I can't wait to open my present so it's Christmas morning. All right. You're gonna take mine Maybe I bet you'll take one of mine. Uh, I bet I don't I bet you will.

I think you will Did you look at my sheet? No. All right. My number three.

Yeah, who is someone we need to cast more often just because we are casting directors We need to get this person working more Um, Elizabeth the biggie. It's really I'm surprised. I can't believe it I like that she is a giraffe. I like it.

She's six with three Yes, in tenant May from uncle. Yes. Um, I like the idea of l driver being like a giant. I know I am shocked that you not shocked.

I'm shocked that you had her. Really? Yeah, I just watched the crowd man. I don't know.

Right. Um, so my number two Age is only a number. Uh, I don't think it matters with this character as much. Uh, Zoe Saldana I'm going off off of the blonde type.

Oh, okay. I think she kicks all kinds of ashes. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Uh, physical fighter. That's a good one. I like it I love my number one. Okay.

Wow. Elizabeth the biggie was your number three. I know. Wow.

I have a murderer's road. Okay. Okay. Number one.

You will not see coming And she's the opposite of Elizabeth the biggie in many respects. Okay. Reese witherspoon I like that one. I like that one a lot.

Oh my That is changing with us soon today. I know when she was 27. No, I know. I think I like her She's all five foot two, whatever she is.

So she's interesting. That is interesting. Oh, interesting. I like her.

I like that move. Yeah, interesting. I think I just won the episode. Well, yeah, I don't know.

Um, so, um, I had Kate Blanchett playing this part. No, I want to say it's the most one. Yeah, I know. No, Kate Blanchett.

Uh, sure. She's 5.9. Yeah, I don't know. It's not.

So I was looking for taller actresses and somebody that's gonna play kind of a Total serious badass like the ultra calculated and everything else. I bring back whatever your own quotes. Like I'm worried if she can move fast enough. Is that what I would think I'll drive her is Yeah, she's a star basically.

Yeah. She's just she's just getting her ass kicked. She's a force, but I like her in attitude to play the part. Yeah.

The other person I have is a bit of scare. But I like her look to play this role and her name is Leslie Bibb and she plays the bride in tag movie tag. Oh, yeah. I don't like her movies, but I like her in this.

I like her in this role. Fine. Yeah, that's a good one. Let's get.

Maybe she's playing unlikeable characters. I like her. Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine with that.

Yep. Al, I'm coming back to you. Give us your over and Okay. I only have two here.

I know. I think I know. I'm surprised. And this is the character where I feel like if we all have the same person on here, I'm gonna be shot.

I forgot I had this person on my list and now that I've got it. Okay. We all should have it. I think.

So my second person. Not a super well known actress, but I remembered her and I liked her attitude in the movie. Her name is Karen Fukahara and she is the samurai person in Suicide Squad. I considered her.

Yes. Okay. Fine. My number one with a fucking bullet is Ali Wong.
