Public Appeal Interview || Ashes to Ashes

Public Appeal is a cutting-edge pop artist based in Montreal. Born in Hong Kong, she lived previously in South Africa, Egypt, France, and Miami. She started making music at 16, drawing inspiration from electro-clash and international club culture. She released her first EP, "Mind Your Business," in 2023 and her debut album "Hello My Name Is Public Appeal" was just released this month via Arbutus Records. Public Appeal appeared on Ashes to Ashes to talk about the record, being at once reserved yet party-going, and wanting to make listeners feel they can dance with the curtains open (even if the neighbours are watching).
