Stan and Clarence chat with Jan Malcolm - an experienced public health practitioner - about public health leadership. Jan Malcolm has an extensive 40 year career in public health leadership across public, for-profit, and not-for profit sectors. Additionally, the former Commissioner of Health has served across 3 different governors - Ventura, Dayton, and Walz - representing both political parties. Malcolm was also one of the first health care leaders to highlight health disparities and the impact of the social determinants of health. She laid the foundation for health legislation aimed at reducing health disparities in the state.
