PUBLIC INTEREST PROGRAM ON MODERN DEBT BONDAGE

A public interest program to spread awareness on modern debt bondage. Modern debt bondage is when daily wage workers receive advance payments from their employers for their urgent needs and repay the money with labour or pay cuts. To get information from both perspectives, the host interviews people who are suffering from debt bondage and boat owners who lend money to those who need it with Zero interest repayment. Finally, CMFRI scientist discusses alternative earning methods to avoid such situations.
