Public Scripture Reading and Worship
from John Wasserman Podcast · host John Wasserman
There is power and anointing behind reading the Scriptures out loud. It was common practice in the Old Testament – for hours to all the assembly of Israel – as well as at the time of Jesus in the Synagogues, for the Law to be read out loud. This public reading of scripture also continued into the time of the New Testament churches. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word became flesh – Jesus. Revelation 1:3 explains the blessing to anyone who reads out loud the word of the prophecy, the testimony of Jesus. Faith comes by hearing and that by hearing the Word of God. This morning was an anointed time of the washing by- and soaking in the Word, accompanied by worship and prophetic ministry.
