Punk Royale
What happens when you decide that fine dining needs a little less fine... and a lot more punk? In this episode of Beyond the Plate, Bob and Micke sit down with Joakim Almquist, co-founder and creative force behind the restaurant phenomenon Punk Royale. Joakim takes us behind the scenes of a restaurant concept built on breaking rules, challenging expectations, and making sure nobody leaves the table thinking, "Well, that was a normal dinner." We talk about where Punk Royale came from, the philosophy behind the madness, how to stay true to the food when the experience gets so much focus, and what happens when you take an unconventional Swedish restaurant concept and bring it to the rest of the world. So pull of a chair, put your phone down, and join us Beyond the Plate. Just don't expect us to tell you exactly what's for dinner.
