Purdue’s Bold Shot at Indiana Football | Indiana Hoosiers Football News

Purdue’s new AD, Tommy McClelland, boldly roasted Indiana’s football program at his debut presser—calling it a place where you won’t win championships. But here’s the twist: Indiana’s been crushing it lately, with 27 wins and two College Football Playoff appearances—including a national title—over the past two years. Meanwhile, Purdue’s been stuck in neutral, winning just seven games in three seasons and not securing a Big Ten win since 2023. While Notre Dame’s on fire with 34 wins and a championship run, even Ball State’s outperforming Purdue. Indiana’s racked up 24 NCAA titles (including that football crown), while Purdue’s last was women’s golf in 2010. Instead of targeting rivals who’re dominating, maybe Purdue should focus on fixing its own game—aiming for anything better than last place in the Big Ten would be a smarter, more realistic goal right now.
